Pakistan and India are once again facing each other at the final of an ICC event after a long wait of a whole decade. The traditional rivals are all set to play Champions Trophy 2017 Final at the Oval, London. The last time the two neighbors met in the final of an ICC events was at ICC World T20 final in 2007, where India beat Pakistan in an exciting match.

The match is being played at The Oval cricket ground in London. The match will begin at 10:30 local time (9:30 GMT, 15:30 Pakistan Standard Time and 15:00 Indian Standard Time). The tickets for Champions Trophy 2017 Final have already been sold out. Hundreds and thousands of Pakistanis and Indians live in London. It is for sure going to be a house-full action packed Champions Trophy 2017 Final. The Oval Cricket Ground has a capacity of about 26,000 spectators.

Underdogs Pakistan

Pakistan started the campaign with a terrible defeat in the hands of India in their first group match. However, despite all odds, Pakistan came back strongly and won their remaining group matches. Pakistan won group matches against Sri Lanka and South Africa and beat England in the semi-final.

This is the first time Pakistan has reached the final of an ICC Champions Trophy. In fact, this was the first time Pakistan reached the semi-final. The ICC Champions Trophy 2017 Final is certainly going to be a huge test for the young Pakistani captain Sarfaraz Ahmed.

Having beaten Pakistan in their first match, India will have an edge over their opposition. India have only lost to Sri Lanka in the group match and performed on their top in rest of their matches.

This is the fourth time India has reached to the final of an ICC Champions Trophy. Only three times India couldn’t reach the final out of the seven Champions Trophy tournaments played so far.

Batting vs Bowling

Pakistan’s strong feature in the bowling while India will be more dependent on batting. Mohammad Amir is likely to come back for the final which means Junaid Khan and the new pacer Hassan Ali will get a little heat off in the initial overs. Hassan Ali is currently leading wicket-taker in ICC Champions Trophy 2017.

Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan have all tremendous batting records. Dhawan is currently leading run scorer in ICC Champions Trophy.
