Pakistani opening batsman Fakhar Zaman has become first Pakistani batsman to score a double hundred in ODI. He also smashed the highest individual score in ODI held previously by Saeed Anwar. The record-breaking knock came on the 4th ODI against Zimbabwe.
Farkha Zaman smashed a record-breaking 210 runs off just 156 deliveries against Zimbabwe in the fourth ODI played at Bulawayo.
Only four Pakistani batsmen have ever scored more than 150 runs including Saeed Anwar (194), Imran Nazir (160) and the currently banned batsman Sharjeed Khan (152).
So far the 200+ individual runs in an ODI has been achieved by six batsmen. The double century scorers in an ODI now include Fakhar Zaman, Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Rohit Sharma, Chris Gayle and Martin Guptill. Rohit Sharma has achieved this feat thrice.
The highest individual score in an ODI is also held by Rohit Sharma of India who scored 263 off 173 against Sri Lanka in 2014.
Pakistan is currently leading the 5-match series by 4-0 with one more match to go. Pakistani skipper Sarfaraz Ahmad is quite confident about a whitewash.
