AB de Villiers fastest ODI century record has stunned the cricket fans around the world. The South African batsman and Mr. Super Consistent performer, AB de Villiers, has broken fastest century record surpassing Corey Anderson and Shahid Afridi. He smashed a hundred from just 31 deliveries against the ODI against West Indies at Johannesburg on 18 January, 2015.
In the same match, the Proteas openers Hashim Amla (153) and Rilee Rossouw (128) hit centuries as well. This was Hashim Amla’s 18th century while Rilee Rossouw manage to get his debut 100. Jerome Taylor and Jason Holder consumed 95 and 91 runs respectively.
Previously, Corey Anderson broke Shahid Afridi’s fastest ODI century record by scoring a century off 36 balls. Shahid Afridi did the same off 37 balls against Sri Lanka some 18 years ago.
