The Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team has reached the final of 17th Asian Games 2014. Pakistan women beat China women’s cricket team by a massive 9 wickets in the semi-final. Batting first, China women were all out for 37 in the 19th over. Pakistan women reached the target for the loss of just 1 wicket with 72 balls to spare. Nida Dar too 4 wickets and Bismah Maroof took 2 wickets for Pakistan. Javeria Khan (21) and Bismah Maroof (13) remained not out.

Pakistan is the defending champion of Asian Games women’s cricket title. Sana Mir, Pakistan women’s cricket team captain said in an interview they their team will be looking forward to retain the title.

Pakistan had defeated Thailand in the opening game of Asian Games 2014. The match was restricted to 14 overs due to weather conditions. Pakistan women’s cricket team batted first and scored 97 runs for the loss of five wickets. Thailand were bowled out for just 47 runs.

Pakistan is placed in the seeds group along with Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Japan.

The final of Asian Games 2014 women’s cricket will be held at Incheon on Sep 26, 2014.
