The Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team have beaten Bangladesh Women’s Cricket team by just 4 runs by DL Method to retain their Gold Medal at Asian Games 2014. Pakistan had beaten China by 9 wickets in the semi-final.
Talking at the presentation ceremony, Sana Mir, Pakistan Women’s Cricket team captain said:

Batting first, Pakistan women’s cricket team scored 97 for the loss of 6 wickets in given 20 overs. Bismah Maroof (26), Nain Abidi (18) and Marina Iqbal (14) remained the top scorers for Pakistan. Rumana Ahmed took 2 wickets for Bangladesh.
In reply, Bangladesh women’s cricket team could only score 38 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 7 overs. The match was the stopped due to rain and as a result of DL Method, Pakistan women won the match. Sana Mir, Sadia Yousuf and Nida Dar took 2 wickets each for Pakistan. Only 2 Bengali players could reach 2 digits score.
