Pakistani left-hand opening batsman Nasir Jamshed banned for one year from all forms of cricket. The decision came after Pakistan Cricket Board’s Anti-Corruption tribunal charged him with ‘failure to cooperate’.

He was arrested by the UK’s National Crime Agency (NCA) in February, the same day he was provisionally suspended by the PCB for allegedly violating its anti-corruption code. He was later released on bail.

Nasir Jamshed was earlier banned from all forms of cricket for violating the PCB’s anti-corruption code

“Anti Corruption Tribunal has imposed one year ban on cricketer Nasir Jamshed for non-co-operation with PCB ACU, more charges will be brought up in near future,” announced PCB in a press release.

Nasir Jamshed has played 48 ODIs for Pakistan. Several players in Pakistan Super League (PSL T20) had been charged with involvement in spot-fixing.

Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif are currently facing a five-year ban. Fast bowler Mohammad Irfan and all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz received a suspension notice of 12 months and 2 months respectively.
