Due prevailing politicization and lobbying in Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Wasim Akram was never approached with serious intentions to help the national bowlers to improve technique and fix their bowling line and length. However, after the massive defeat against India in ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, Wasim Akram has himself showed interest to provide his golden tips to the struggling bowlers of Pakistan Cricket Team.
The bowling legend, referred as “Sultan of Swing”, was part of Pakistan’ winning team in 1992 Cricket World Cup and helped Pakistan win a lot of matches with his unplayable deliveries.
Here is an old video of Wasim Akram giving bowling tips to Australian pacers Brett Lee and Mitchell Johnson.
Do you think PCB should consider having him as a permanent bowling mentor for Pakistani bowlers?
