Shadab Khan, Pakistan’s leg-spinner, has tied former Captain Shahid Afridi’s record for most wickets in T20Is for the Men in Green.

Khan became the joint-wicket taker in T20Is, along with Shahid Afridi, after taking two wickets in the T20 World Cup match against Bangladesh on Sunday at the Adelaide Oval.

According to states, Shadab khan took 97 wickets in 82 games, whereas Afridi reached the same mark in 98 matches.
Umar Gul and Saeed Ajmal are third and fourth on the list, with 85 wickets each. Meanwhile, Haris Rauf is in fifth place with 70 scalps.

Defying all odds, Pakistan miraculously qualified for the semifinals of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022 on Sunday by defeating Bangladesh by 5 wickets at the Adelaide Oval. Pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi shone with the ball, taking 4-22 in four overs.

Pakistan cemented its spot in the semifinals because of South Africa’s defeat at the hands of the Netherlands. The Netherlands eliminated South Africa in the Super 12 match at the Adelaide Oval, confirming India’s place in the final four. Pakistan and Bangladesh were tied on four points and needed the Dutch win to secure a place in the semi-finals.
